Who we are

CalmCue is a mobile app that helps parents stay calm during hard parenting moments. It is operated by CalmCue (hello@calmcueapp.com). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and first name. You may sign in via Apple or Google, in which case we receive only the information those services share with us (typically email and name).

Waitlist. If you joined the early-access waitlist on our website, we stored your email address to notify you when the app launches.

Session data. When you use the intervention feature, we record the time, outcome (calm or skipped), the trigger context you selected, and the script shown. We do not record any audio — see below.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog to collect anonymised analytics (screen views, feature interactions, session counts). This data does not include personal identifiers unless you are signed in.

Subscription data. We use RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your device ID and purchase receipt. We do not store your payment card details.

Audio detection

        All audio processing happens entirely on your device. No audio data — recordings, clips, or transcripts — ever leaves your phone. The microphone is used only to detect volume and pitch patterns locally. Audio detection is off by default and must be explicitly enabled.

To sync your sessions, streaks, and preferences across devices
To manage your subscription and process payments
To send you product updates if you opt in
To understand how features are used so we can improve them

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Third-party services

Supabase — database and authentication. Data is stored on servers in the United States. Supabase Privacy Policy.
PostHog — product analytics. PostHog Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple / Google — sign-in providers, app distribution, and push notifications.

Children's privacy

CalmCue is designed for parents and caregivers. The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@calmcueapp.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@calmcueapp.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be notified via the app or email.
